WMU receives $5 million grant to advance carbon capture and storage technology

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan University has received a $5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to help curtail the impacts of climate change. WMU received the grant, which comes from the department’s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, aims to advance commercial-scale carbon capture, transport and storage.
