Deer are a problem in Kalamazoo, but planned kill unlikely this year

KALAMAZOO, MI — Some Kalamazoo residents are calling for the city to reduce its deer population with a cull, but officials say that’s unlikely to happen this year. We’re approaching the time of year when deer crashes are most common – October to December – as sunset comes earlier and food is harder for animals to come by.
