KALAMAZOO, MI – An innovative project in the works since late 2021 to house homeless individuals in housing pods Kalamazoo will not come to reality. Nearly three years after Housing Resources Inc. spent $1 million on 50 ModPod housing units – designed to house 66 people – the organization announced Thursday, Sept. 5, it is canceling the project and will sell the pods to another community.
