KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A two-alarm house fire in Kalamazoo is under control, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says.
Units responded Saturday afternoon to the fire on the 900 block of Lane Boulevard, near Race Street.
Photos shared with News 8 by Fran Dwight show crews fighting the fire.
Just before 6:20 p.m., KDPS said the fire was under control, though crews were still on scene taking care of hot spots. The neighboring homes experienced minor heat damage.
Investigators say based on their initial findings, the fire was “accidentally caused by two 8-year-olds.”
