Vehicles damaged by BB gun in Antwerp Twp

ANTWERP TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — At least three vehicles were hit by BBs while driving on Red Arrow Highway in Antwerp Township on Sept. 17.

Between 7:10 a.m. and 7:20 a.m., deputies with the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the area of Red Arrow Highway and 29 1/2 Street after multiple vehicles were damaged while heading eastbound.

Responding deputies learned that at least three vehicles were hit on the driver’s side front door from the north side of the roadway.

Through investigation and tips, a school resource officer identified the juvenile involved and confiscated the BB gun, the sheriff’s office said.

No one was hurt.

“The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review and possible charges,” the sheriff’s office said.
