SCHOOLCRAFT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say one person was killed and another was arrested after a shooting near Schoolcraft.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said around 10:30 p.m. Sunday it received a report of a person being shot on VW Avenue E between 18th Street and Portage Road in Schoolcraft Township.
Investigators said it started as a dispute between neighbors and then the suspect shot the victim. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
The suspect, whose name was not released, was arrested and taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail.
