OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman who was lying in the road near Kalamazoo Sunday night was run over by at least one car, police say.
The happened around 11 p.m. on 9th Street near W. Main Street in Oshtemo Township.
Michigan State Police said in a Monday social media post that the 62-year-old Kalamazoo woman was “laying in the middle of the roadway” when she was run over. She was rushed to the hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening.
Police say they don’t know why the woman was in the road. Anyone with information about what happened is asked to call the MSP Paw Paw Post at 269.657.5551.
MSP said neither drugs nor alcohol appear to have been a factor in regards to the driver involved in the crash.
