Kalamazoo County to transform hotel into shelter for families experiencing homelessness

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Officials from the Kalamazoo County Government announced Tuesday they plan to convert a hotel into a shelter for families experiencing homelessness. With the support of the cities of Kalamazoo and Portage, the county said they plan to take ownership of the current Holiday Inn Express, located at 3630 E. Cork St., by the end of the year.
