LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – The Barry-Eaton District Health Department is giving away free Radon Test Kits during January. For January, the Health Department wants to remind everyone that this month is Radon Action Month and wants to raise awareness about the dangers of radon gas. Radon can’t be seen, smelled, or tasted, but high levels of radon gas present in your home could increase the risk of lung cancer.
