The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 2:55 a.m. EST on Saturday valid from 7 p.m. EST until Monday 1 a.m. EST for Mason, Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan and Van Buren counties.
“Lake effect snow and areas of blowing and drifting snow expected. Snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches expected with locally higher amounts possible,” explains the weather service. “Temperatures near zero with wind chills as cold as ten degrees below zero are likely Sunday Night into Monday morning.
