KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Repairs to water main breaks have prompted two boil water advisories in Kalamazoo.
One of the advisories is in effect for addresses in the area of Buchanan Avenue, Ash Street, Pierce Avenue, S. Burdick Street and Leona Avenue.
The other advisory is for Kingston Avenue between Portage and Moreland Streets.
Everyone in the affected areas should boil their water for two minutes before consuming it. It’s safe to bathe in the water without boiling it.
The work on the water main breaks caused drops in pressure; such drops can allow bacteria to enter the system. The boil water advisories are precautionary; no bacteria had been found in the system as of Wednesday…
