Parole absconder arrested after traffic stop in Pennfield Township

PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A parole absconder was arrested Thursday morning after a traffic stop near Battle Creek.

At around 8:04 a.m., the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Bridgen Drive near Maxwell Avenue in Pennfield Township.

The 30-year-old male driver from Battle Creek was found to have an active arrest warrant for Parole Absconding, issued by the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC).

He was taken into custody without incident, according to authorities.
