Man dies hours after being booked into Calhoun County Jail

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A man died in the Calhoun County Jail hours after being booked for indecent exposure.

Around 1:30 a.m., a 43-year-old man was booked into the Calhoun County Jail on a charge of indecent exposure, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said. He was placed in an observation holding area and routinely monitored.

Deputies found him unresponsive and having a medical emergency around 5:30 a.m. Deputies and medical staff attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at 5:52 a.m., the sheriff’s office said…
