Michigan forecast: Prepare for ‘multiple threats’ as snow, sleet, ice are followed by severe weather

This last week of March has been a big weather mess for Michigan, and heading into early April, it doesn’t look like Mother Nature is going to let up. Another storm system is taking aim at Michigan, and this next go-round had a couple different parts.

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids says it will start out with freezing rain and snow developing Tuesday night, mostly in an area near and north of I-96. A build-up of ice and snow accumulation will continue into early Wednesday, then warming temps mean the precipitation will switch to rain…
