Marquette, MI – A winter weather advisory has been issued for several counties in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, with mixed precipitation expected to impact travel conditions starting this evening. The advisory covers Iron, Dickinson, Menominee, and Delta counties, as well as Keweenaw and Northern Houghton counties.
According to the National Weather Service, the storm will bring snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches and ice accumulations with a light glaze. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph, especially in areas like Keweenaw County. The hazardous weather will affect road conditions, making them slippery and dangerous, particularly during the Wednesday morning commute.
