Almost 10 years after being charged with assault, kidnapping, a man has been extradited back to MI to stand trial

LANSING, Mich. — Almost ten years after being charged, Aaron Jarrett, 36, will stand trial in Chippewa County on four counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and one count of Kidnapping for allegedly assaulting a woman in 2016, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Tuesday.

The U.S. Marshals Service extradited Jarrett to Michigan from Clark County, Washington, in February of this year as part of Operation Survivor Justice.

“Because of Operation Survivor Justice, Mr. Jarrett will finally stand trial after nearly nine years,” Nessel said. “My Department remains committed to using this vital partnership to ensure that those facing serious charges are located, apprehended, and held accountable.”…
