The city of Kalamazoo is mourning the loss of one of our city’s most prolific and well-known barbecue pit bosses. Terrance Burton, lovingly known as Big T, who is a part of TNT – Lil Bros Barbecue, has sadly passed away.
The barbecue restaurant was started by Terrence and Tisha (TnT), who are high school sweethearts, whose love of family, the Lord, and great barbecue brought them together to become one of the most iconic barbecue places in the city off Portage Road. You would regularly see Terrence out working the pit.
I myself would catch him on Facebook Live and always say to myself, “If my barbecue isn’t being cooked by a guy who looks like that, I don’t wanna have it.”…
