PORTAGE, MI — A 1-mile long, 10-foot-wide trail between Lovers Lane and Portage Road opened to bicyclists and other non-motorized traffic on May 5.
The new East Central Trail connects to the Garden Lane Trail, which runs through Celery Flats Historical Area, and intersects with the Lovers Lane Trail and Portage Road Trail on its east and west ends.
The city will celebrate its opening on Friday, May 16, with a ribbon cutting at the Lovers Lane trail entrance.
