Tornado Warning issued for Kalamazoo, Calhoun counties; Severe Thunderstorm Warning

KALAMAZOO, Mich (WWMT) — A fast moving storm is bringing the potential for tornados as well as strong winds and large hail to western Michigan Thursday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for Calhoun County and northeastern Kalamazoo County until 11:45 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is also in effect for multiple counties including Kalamazoo, Barry, Ionia, Allegan, Van Buren, Kent, and Newaygo with gusts from 60-70 mph.
