MARTIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — As the National Weather Service works to survey the damage caused by Thursday night’s storm, it says it has confirmed at least two tornadoes touched down in the Battle Creek area.
Both of the Battle Creek-area tornadoes were EF0s, the NWS said.
The first touched down around 10:59 p.m. on the east side of Galesburg. It tracked east for about 10 miles with peak winds of 80 mph before lifting off at 11:11 pm. in Battle Creek.
