PORTAGE, Mich. — Just as West Michigan began to move past the Thursday night storm, a second wave of high winds rolled through.
It meant thousands in the areas of West and Austin Lakes in Portage saw outages even after the tornadoes, leaving them with limbs scattered across their yards and no way to cool or light their homes.
“We’re kind of worried about things in the refrigerator and the freezer and all that,” said homeowner Clark Lozier.
