Kalamazoo offers curbside storm debris pickup in wake of severe weather

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — In wake of the May 15 severe weather that struck our area, the city of Kalamazoo is offering curbside collection of fallen branches and limbs to residents.

City residents can place any volume and any size of fallen branches, limbs, or debris from trees at the curb for collection.

Materials should be placed in the curb lawn or at the curb, officials said.

The collection route will move from south to north and will be collected on the following dates:

  • Area A (Green): Pickup starts Monday, June 9
  • Area B (Yellow): Pickup starts Tuesday, May 27
  • Area C (Red): Pickup starts Monday, June 2

Seniors, individuals with disabilities, or anyone physically unable to move their debris can dial 311 for assistance.

Residents can also drop off their branches, limbs, and tree debris at 322 East Stockbridge Avenue through Friday, June 27.
