HASTINGS, Mich. — Hastings Area School System said there will be more police officers present at the high school graduation ceremony Thursday evening after investigating a now non-credible threat.
The school district said the police department learned about a potential threat against the high school. While the investigation is ongoing, the Hastings Police Department deemed the initial threat not credible.
“That said, we take all threats against our schools very seriously,” the school system said in a statement. “We do not anticipate this impacting the celebration, and we look forward to honoring the Class of 2025 with our community.”…
