Houghton County sheriff investigates a fire incident in Tapiola.
On Sunday the Houghton County sheriff was dispatched to a residence in Tapiola at 7:40 am for a domestic altercation.
Deputies were told 39-year-old Alex Paavola had threatened to burn down his parents’ Tapiola home. His parents fled to a nearby neighbor’s residence to call for help.
