Kalamazoo finally breaks its below-average temperature streak

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Memorial Day weekend has come and gone. Many think of the long weekend as the “unofficial start to summer.”

It doesn’t quite feel like summer yet. Kalamazoo had 10 straight days of below-average temperatures between May 17 and May 26.

High temperatures stayed in the 50s, 60s, and low 70s during that stretch.

Our average high on May 27 is 74 degrees in Kalamazoo. The mercury rose to 74 degrees shortly before 3 p.m., breaking our stretch of below-average days.
