Kalamazoo’s Edison neighborhood revives tradition with second annual picnic, bike parade

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo’s Southside Park was the site of the second annual Edison Neighborhood Picnic and Bike Parade on Saturday.

Hosted by the Edison Neighborhood Association, the free event offered food, bike decorating stations, and a bike giveaway.

The event used to happen in the Edison neighborhood in the 1980s, according the organizer, providing a perfect opportunity to revamp an old tradition.
