Kalamazoo County launches vector surveillance program to curb disease-carrying insects

The Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department (KCHCSD) launched its yearly vector surveillance program to monitor and control the spread of disease-carrying insects.

These efforts, according to county officials, are critical in preventing the spread of vector-borne illnesses like West Nile virus, Lyme disease, and other threats.
