There are some restaurants in Southwest Michigan. They just have a hard time catching wind and don’t seem to last very long. It’s hard to say whether or not it’s because of the restaurant itself or the location, but regardless, we’ve seen many buildings change from one thing to the next.
One building that has seen its fair share of changes throughout the years is the restaurant that sits off of ML King Drive across the road from Crossroads Mall in Portage.
The restaurant, which is located near Dunhams Sports in Blaine’s Farm and Fleet, has been everything from a Brann’s Steakhouse to, most recently, the Shaking Crab. But seafood restaurants in the area have not seen a lot of success, with the closure of the Crafty Crab on Gull Road and then the Shaking Crab. It’s time for a new restaurant to move in…
