Governor Whitmer Holds Roundtable Discussion At WMU On Possible Medicaid Cuts

(Kalamazoo, MI) – Governor Whitmer hosted a roundtable discussion yesterday at Western Michigan University to lay out the results of possible large funding cuts to Medicaid. The U.S. House has already approved the bill which would slash billions of dollars from Medicaid and leave millions in the country without healthcare. Kalamazoo Mayor David Anderson says 27-percent of residents in the city are at or below the poverty line and they would lose their coverage with the cuts.
