$25M road safety plan will address county’s rising trend of fatal and serious accidents

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — Crashes causing death or serious injury in Kalamazoo County are on the rise, with trees along the roads being one of the biggest factors.

It’s why the Road Commission hopes to cut down the danger with $25 million from the federal government in the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program and they already have changes for some of the most dangerous areas mapped out.
