RUTLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Hastings is normally a city of around 7,500 residents. More than triple that number are expected to arrive at the Barry Expo Center for a two-day music fest called “Rock the Country” that will feature acts like Nickelback, Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd this weekend.
Organizers say the concert has sold over 21,000 tickets for Friday and nearly 26,000 tickets for Saturday.
The influx of activity will alter traffic patterns near Hastings. The Barry County Emergency Management Department expects back-ups throughout the M-37 corridor between Middleville and Hastings.
