Country fans brave traffic jams for Barry County concert

HASTINGS, Mich. — A two-mile drive down M-37 turned into a two-hour crawl just to reach the front of the Barry County Fairgrounds on Friday afternoon.

“It’s been pretty busy, but they’ve been flowing them through pretty quick,” said Kevin Lee, who had been watching traffic from his front yard all morning.

The traffic was caused by the thousands of people trying to get into the Rock the Country Music Festival, which is playing a two-day stint in Hastings…
