KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Kalamazoo community came together Thursday for an afternoon of summer fun.
Hosted by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) and the Kalamazoo Eastside Neighborhood Association, families and friends had the chance to connect over games, food, and competitive challenges at Spring Valley Park.
The event, called the KDPS Block Party, featured things like carnival games, arts and crafts, vendors, and snacks.
Additionally, KDPS Officer Matt Gernaat told News Channel 3 it also provided the neighborhood kids a chance to get to know their local law enforcement.
