Coast Guard to increase patrols during Fourth of July weekend, targeting drunk boating

As many people in the Great Lakes region plan on boating during the Fourth of July weekend, Coast Guard crews are increasing the number of boating safety patrols.

The increased patrols are part of Operation Dry Water, a nationwide initiative focused on enforcing laws against boating under the influence, or BUI.
