Deputies with the Saginaw County Sheriff’s department are investigating the drowning death of a child from Kalamazoo County.
Police were sent to a home on Clear Lake Drive in Fremont Township at around 8:40 P.M. last Friday, where there is a large, private pond. People on the scene got the five-year-old boy out of the water before police arrived. Deputies began life saving measures, which emergency medical personnel continued when they arrived. The boy was taken to Covneant Healthcare in Saginaw, where he died the following morning.
On Saturday, a noise complaint in Carrollton Township led to an investigation into the death of a 15-year-old boy. Police were sent to the 900 block of Atlanta Street around 6:30 P.M. on noise and parking complaints. They spoke with the homeowner, who told police the party would wrap up by 9:00 P.M., and left the residence.
