Cereal City Faces A Big Change With Kellogg’s Potential Sale

When you think of the city of Battle Creek, Michigan, one of the first things that comes to mind is its rich history in cereal making, which is why it’s always been known as Cereal City, USA.

But for the first time in nearly 120 years it looks as though Battle Creek will no longer be truly synonymous with cereal making, as news has recently broke out that as soon as next week, W.K. Kellogg could reportedly be selling their 119 year-old cereal company in a $3 billion deal to The Ferraro Group.

That’s the company that owns brands like Nutella, Butterfinger, Keebler, Tic Tac, and the chocolate company Ferrero Rocher. Now, obviously, we can’t forget about Post, which was founded in 1895 in Battle Creek and still operates in the city…
