Deputies: Good Samaritans assist person after crash in Geneva Township

GENEVA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two bystanders assisted a person after a crash in Geneva Township on Thursday, deputies say.

It happened around 4 p.m. near County Road 388 and 68th Street, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say a 2022 Huyndai was headed east on County and attempted to turn into a local business when it was hit by a 2025 Chevrolet that was headed west on the road.

Soon after, the Hyundai caught on fire. A bystander removed the driver of the Hyundai and another person nearby put out the fire from the car with an extinguisher, according to deputies…
