KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — Michigan State Police confirmed Monday night that the Fort Custer Recreation Area was evacuated due to a situation with an armed individual.
An emergency text was sent out from Michigan State Parks and Harbors’ Emergency Alert system, warning people to evacuate, around 8:30 p.m.
