New online tool for recording real estate documents in Kalamazoo County

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo County Clerk/Register of Deeds Meredith Place has announced the launch of a new Consumer E-Recording service, which she says will give individuals a secure, convenient, and remote way to submit eligible real estate documents for official recording without having to travel or mail anything.

To submit a document for the Consumer E-Recording service, users provide basic information, including their name, email address, a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport), and payment details.

It costs $30 to record each document, plus a $20 transaction fee. You only pay if the document is successfully recorded…
