The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 12:22 p.m. EDT on Saturday for strong thunderstorms until 1:15 p.m. EDT for St. Joseph, Branch and Hillsdale counties.
Residents can expect wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
“At 12:21 p.m., Doppler radar tracked strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Bronson to near Rome City. Movement was east at 35 mph,” according to the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.”…
