Walmart stabbing suspect spent a year at Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital

TRAVERSE CITY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The suspect in the stabbing of eleven people at a Walmart near Traverse City on Saturday has a lengthy criminal and mental health history.

Bradford Gille was charged nearly a decade ago with digging up and mutilating dead bodies from a Petoskey cemetery, claiming people were buried alive.

Gille was sentenced to a year at the Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital in 2018 after being found not guilty by reason of insanity when he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and psychoactive substance abuse…
