COOPER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man is in the hospital after getting cut by his girlfriend.

Responding to East G Avenue near Coopers Landing Drive around 1 a.m., Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies said they found a man who had been “substantially cut” with a knife and, after treating him at the scene, took him to the hospital for the injury.
The initial call came from someone who heard “ongoing yelling” from inside a residence and a witness told deputies they later saw the 34-year-old suspect run from the residence. While responding to the first call, deputies said the man also called to report he had been cut by his girlfriend.
