COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies in Kalamazoo County are looking for a suspect who is accused of stealing an acquaintance’s dog and purse.
Around 5:25 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to the area of E. Michigan Avenue and Henning Street in Comstock Township for a reported robbery. The victim said she had been assaulted and robbed by an acquaintance, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect allegedly took her dog and her purse, then fled.
Deputies began searching the area for the suspect. They were joined by the Kalamazoo Township Police Department, a Michigan State Police trooper and a drone operator from the Portage Department of Public Safety.
