Suspected drunk driver crashes into Amish buggy in West Michigan, six hospitalized

BLOOMINGDALE TWP, MICH. (WWJ) An Amish buggy crash caused by a suspected drunk driver left six people hospitalized in West Michigan, sheriff’s officials said.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said one of the victims is in critical condition, four have serious injuries; and one had “no obvious injuries”, but still received medical care.

The crash happened in Bloomingdale Township, about 20 miles west of Kalamazoo, on Country Road 388 near 45th Street– on Friday, August 8, around 7:45 p.m…
