Puppy found suffocating in trash bag alongside Morgan Road in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — At around 6:30 Wednesday morning, a puppy was found suffocating in a trash bag alongside on East Avenue North and Morgan Road in Battle Creek, according to All Species Kinship (A.S.K), a nonprofit rescue organization.

The puppy was discovered by Battle Creek resident Sarah Wood, who told News Channel 3 she heard the puppy squealing and pulled over to find it left in a tied-off trash bag.

The resident then notified A.S.K., and the puppy was taken to a local veterinarian hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
