KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A second man now faces charges stemming from a deadly shooting during a 2021 break-in in Kalamazoo.
Julius Curtis Robinson Jr., 28, is being charged with felony murder, first-degree home invasion, armed robbery and three felony weapons charges, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said Thursday.

The charges date back to a shooting on June 26, 2021, at a home on North Rose Street. Investigators say two masked people forced their way into the home to commit a robbery and shot 33-year-old Gerryon Kye, who had multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.
Isaiah Willhite, 23, was arrested and charged in 2023 on charges stemming from the break-in. He was convicted and found guilty in July. His sentencing was postponed and is set for Oct. 10.
