KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Multiple firearms were recovered in Kalamazoo Aug. 16 due to an effort by the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) to combat gun violence.
KVET led a task force focusing solely on offenders using, possessing, or committing crimes using firearms, KVET said.
Two pistols were recovered off two 17-year-old Kalamazoo residents, who brandished them while in and around a vehicle on Portage Street, KVET said in a release.
