Solarize Kalamazoo, Green Drinks to host solar education event August 28

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo residents will have a chance to learn about solar power during a special event August 28.

The free event, which is a special edition of Green Drinks Kalamazoo, will take place at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe. Residents can expect an evening of solar education, community connection, and local beer.

At the Green Drinks and Solarize event, environmental advocates, local experts, homeowners and clean energy professionals will show how easy and affordable it is for residents to get solar power for their homes.

Helios Solar will be present to answer questions, and the City of Kalamazoo’s Historic Preservation Officer will explain how even owners of historic homes can go solar.
