Michigan man faces life in prison for fentanyl pills disguised as oxycodone

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A Battle Creek man is facing up to life in prison for possessing over 4,000 fentanyl pills disguised as oxycodone with the intent to deliver.

Nazzarie Carmouche-Heath, 29, pleaded guilty on Aug. 21 to possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, according to a news release from the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan.

Carmouche-Heath faces a minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 4, 2025…
