FBI is aiding in seven-year-old Michigan missing persons investigation

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is now involved in a seven-year-old Michigan missing persons case.

Brittany Shank of Sturgis, MI, a 23-year-old mother of four, disappeared Nov, 20, 2018 after she and her boyfriend got into a car crash on Fawn River Road, according to investigators. Earlier this month, newly elected St. Joseph County Sheriff Chad Spence pledged his commitment to the case and said Wednesday he is now receiving assistance from the FBI.
